Linda is an aspiring singer-songwriter from Toronto, Ontario who truly lives up to her name.  She is the perfect blend of Sas and a whole lot of love.  Her voice may remind you of Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt or Laura Nyro but she has a unique sound of her own that is captivating.  Her lyrics are clever and her melodies are unforgettable.  The voice is pure, passionate and sweet with a slight edge to it.  She has been dubbed, "the voice of Canada" by a fellow songwriter.  Linda has a debut CD coming out in 2002.  She is also becoming known for her beautiful backup harmonies to a growing number of Toronto musicians.

Linda bought a Gibson B25 Guitar ar Sam's ABC music store in Ottawa when she felt the urge to write her own songs.  After a few weeks, she had written her first song, "Someone who cares".  She started performing at local coffee houses and is proud to have played at the legendary Le Hibou Coffee House just before it closed.

She comes from a musical family.  Her maternal grandmother sang in plays, her maternal grandfather played 6 instruments, her paternal grandfather had a wonderful singing voice and her father and his twin brother sang on the radio and in numerous choirs.

She was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario.  With leads in high school and camp plays and musicals, her dreams of becoming a broadway star were altered when she discovered the Beatles.  Influenced by Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Jackson Browne etc.  she moved on to the folk/blues arena.  Singing her own songs is very important to her.  "We all have something to say to the rest of the world".  Linda sings songs from the heart that people of all ages can relate to.  "The greatest joy is to see how I have touched someone with my art, can't think of anything nicer"

With a long absence from the music scene Linda has returned to Toronto and her first love - music.  She has an engaging stage presence and the gift to make an audience get in touch with the better parts of themselves.  Linda Saslove is a talented perfomer not to be overlooked.
